Description
Born and raised in the second city, Marquis Hill is becoming a steady mainstay and rising star in chicago's thriving music scene. As both a sideman and leader, Marquis is making appearances just about everywhere with his trumpet. Although primarily performing throughout the Midwest and Chicagoland area, at the young age of 23 his music has taken him around the world. These international adventures include concerts throughout Europe with extended tours in France and Poland. He's also been awarded the pleasure of participating in the Ravinia Festival's Stean's Institute Intensive, a two week Summer comprehensive run by Jazz legends Rufus Reid, James Moody and David Baker.
