Description

In March 1892, a delegation of Lubbock residents requested five acres of pasture land from rancher H.M. Bandy for use as a cemetery. The first burial was in April 1892, with more than 70,000 burials since. Learn about the history of the Lubbock cemetery which is the third largest in Texas and is designed as a Historic Texas cemetery. Instructor is Sylvia Chapa.
