Description

This lecture will be a case study of a method of documenting historical structures developed by the College of Architecture and CyArk (private foundation) called High Definition Documentation (HDD). This method includes the use of 3D laser scanning, Geographical Information System, Digital Photography and Geo-Surveying to quickly and accurately document historical structures. Professor Hill has worked with architectural historians, archaeologists, surveyors, engineers, and other professionals in the documentation of the Statue of Liberty and the Mesa Verde Cliff Dwellings using high definition documentation. Instructor is Glenn Hill, associate professor of architecture at Texas Tech University.
