Hey, Guys n Gals! For those of you singers and in-the-shower singers, let's have a concert with our Orange County Asian Professional (OCAP) pals at Elvis! For me, I gotta enjoy my school break doing karaoke. For ya'll, don’t be a wallflower! C’mon and sing the night away! This karaoke event will have people of all singing levels who sing for genuine fun, regardless of what Simon Cowell on American Idol would think. =p. We encourage and humbly support each others’ awesome voices. =)
I just read a Yelp comment that there is a tremendous song selection that no other karaoke place may have; this is what you call is the "Big Enchilada" of songs. If that's true, ya'll gotta check this out. Most of the songs are predominately English and a selection of Chinese/Japanese/Korean. They got anywhere from rock classics of Journey, Cost 103.5 types, 90s R&B slow jams End of the Road, to rappin JAY-Z of up-to-date. There's something for everyone. Preferred group is up to 10-15
The rates are 1-2 person: $28/per studio
3-5: $30
6-10: $40
11-15: $45
The cost of the room (excluding additional nonalcoholic drinks) per person will depend on the number of people who show up and split evenly regardless of whether you stay the full 3 hours or not. For example, 15 ppl for 3 hr(3hr x $45) will cost about $9.65 pp [$144.79(7.25%tax incl) div by 15] The facility doesn’t allow alcohol and outside food/drinks, although Yelp reviews say some have snuck in a paper bagged beverage. I won't say anything if you won't. ;)
In collaboration with our OCAP Pals, I'll be taking up to 7 Entourage'ers. I'll give an equal opportunity with gender, meaning I'll give a chance for up to 4 females; 5 days before the event I"ll go ahead and move up the males if its assumed that no more females want to join to make 4. That is, if there is 2 or 3 females, I'll go ahead and add another 1 or 2 males in. Vice versa with 7 OCAP'ers; excess members will be on the waiting list. Max is 15.
Everyone will sing for their money's worth under the guidelines: 1) No hoggin the mike; 2) The song list/entries will be rotated accordingly(1 song entry per person each time);and 4) No entry of a song if the person will not sing it, don't be a wallflower, sing it.
Optional dinner at Shabu-Shabu next door or a decent Thai restaurant within the vicinity. Yelp reviews Shabu Shabu isn't to shabby either. =) Please answer the question if you will attend dinner.
Meeting time is 745 pm outside. I’ll collect money up front. Cash for convenience. If you’re late, ask the cashier the room #
