While celebrating the Golden Girl of the Banked Track's 20th year as the Roller Derby's biggest superstar, Joan Weston (The Blonde Bomber) granted me an exclusive view of her world, allowing my camera to follow her into the highly charged arena of the banked track. I experienced and captured firsthand why The Blonde Bomber ruled supreme, and why thousands cheered her every winning point. Also in the book is the last interview with Ann Calvello (Demon of the Derby), the colorful arch rival of the banked track, battling the Bomber for years. The book ends with the resurrection of the new flat track roller derby. The Blonde Bomber book is historic and features colorful photos of an amazing American sporting event reinvented.
