Women Making History is a high-profile event which brings as speaker a woman who has made history and can serve as a role-model and inspiration for Charlotte citizens.

This year's speaker will be Linda Hooper, a middle school principal and consummate educator, who once asked her students to collect six million paper clips as a way to visualize the magnitude of the Holocaust. A firm believer in the power of education as a vehicle to tolerance, Linda Hooper speaks movingly about teaching to change the world. Her luncheon topic will be "The Power of One."

Luncheon tickets will go on sale on the museum website on February 1, 2012.
