Description

Valentine and Proteus are young, lifelong friends who are unexpectedly thrust into the rivalries and complications of adolescence. In a search for adventure Valentine travels to Milan separately from his friend and there falls in love with the Duke's daughter, Silvia. Also ordered to Milan, Proteus too falls for Silvia forsaking the woman he left behind in Verona. Far from home, adult guidance and ultimately from each other and those they love, passions between these young friends are left unchecked.

Former STC Associate Director PJ Paparelli, "one of the most exciting talents working in Washington" (The Washington Post), returns to direct this Shakespeare classic play of excess, young love, and shape-shifting selves.
