Dixie National Parade

- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Description
The fun begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012. It’s carnival colors, masks and beads…even the Lone Ranger wore a mask…he just needed to ‘carnival it up’ a bit! If you are a cowpoke and would like to jump on the carnival carousel, please join in this very happy and entertaining show.
Each year, the parade that accompanies this event is anticipated by the thousands of people who are either participants or spectators of this impressive display of western pageantry and regalement. The parade, sponsored by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce, and the Mississippi Fair Commission, consists of hundreds of horses, wagons, motorcycles, hot rod and antique car clubs, beauty queens, corporate and group floats, as well as individuals who just love a parade and other Dixie National events.
The parade route runs through downtown Jackson.
