Description
The legendary romance about a quick-witted swashbuckler whose nose is as big as his heart.
Set during the reign of Louis XIII, Cyrano de Bergerac is a play about one of the most legendary characters in literature. Cyrano de Bergerac, a cadet (nobleman serving as a soldier) in the French Army, is a brash, strong-willed man of many talents. In addition to being a remarkable duelist, he is a gifted, joyful poet and is also shown to be a musician. However, he has an extremely large nose, which is the reason for his own self-doubt. Desperately in love with the beautiful Roxane, but convinced she will never look past his titanic proboscis, Cyrano helps the tongue-tied Christian pen exquisite verse with which to woo her. This comic adventure continues to be popular for its dramatic power and, above all, its magnetic hero.
