Currently Professor of Afro-American Studies at Smith College,
Dr. Paula Giddings has taught at Spelman College and at Rutgers, Princeton, and Duke Universities. A former book editor and journalist, she has authored three books on the social and political history of African-American women, including the recently critically acclaimed biography of anti-lynching activist Ida B. Wells. Co-sponsored with BCC, AAAS, and the CCC. Carter G. Woodson Memorial Convocation.
