Race for the Place 5K Run/Walk

Description
The 3rd annual âRace for the Placeâ 5K run/walk will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 8:00 AM. The event will also include a 1-mile âfun runâ for children, which begins at 9:00 AM.
The event is being coordinated and sponsored by 8 area churches including: Downtown Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Eastminster Presbyterian, Shandon Presbyterian, Shandon United Methodist, Trenholm Road United Methodist, and St. John's Episcopal Church. The race route is in the Shandon area; the start line is at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Registration forms can be printed at www.stlawrenceplace.org, then click on Special Events, or go to www.strictlyrunning.com to register on-line. The price per person is $25, which includes a t-shirt, with all proceeds going to benefit the programs of St. Lawrence Place, including our after-school program for homeless children, and adult life skills classes. (After January 31st, the registration price is $30). Price for the âfun runâ for children is $10, which includes a t-shirt. The business, congregation, school, or organization with the most participants will receive a specially designed award and traveling trophy.
