Description

2012 CANstruction Little Rock is a design/build competition that puts a visual spotlight on hunger while showcasing the design community of central Arkansas. Local architecture firms compete with each other to build giant sized structures made entirely out of canned food. The creations will be on view to the public as giant art exhibits from January 28th until February 15th at the Clinton Presidential Library (teams work Thursday Jan 26th from 5pm to 10pm and Friday Jan 27th from 5pm to midnight to build their structures). Entries will be judged in five official categories: Jurors' Favorite, Best Use of Labels, Best Meal, Structural Ingenuity, and Honorable Mention. At the close of the exhibit, all cans used to create the structures will be donated to the Arkansas Foodbank.
