Description

This beautiful play is based on the haunting, true story of Sadako Saski. Sadako is lively and athletic - a regular kid - until she starts getting dizzy. Doctors diagnose leukemia, the "atom bomb disease." With the help of her friend Kenji, Sadako sets to work folding paper cranes. Japanese legend says that if a sick person folds one thousand cranes, the gods will grant her wish and make her healthy again.

Proceeds from this play will be donated to the Hiroshima Peace Museum's education programs for peace.
