Description

Experience a blast from the past at a brand new exhibit at Georgia Aquarium! Marineland Dolphin Adventure: From Film to Fins takes guests on a walk through time and explores the history of Marineland Dolphin Adventure, from its roots as a studio for filming aquatic scenes, to its present day status as a leader in dolphin education and encounters.
The exhibit features a themed theater showing original movie clips and artifacts from its days as a movie studio, such as video cameras, fedding baskets and other underwater filming equipment. Marineland's rich history produced many firsts, including creating the the first crystal-clear water for filming and being the first facility to train dolphin behaviors. By the 1950s, Marineland had become internationally known as a family-oriented coastal vacation destination, which continues today.
See the photos and artifacts from those glory days! We hope you'll join us in exploring more of this amazing facility's history! You can learn even more about Marineland's history through a presentation on their website.
This exhibit is located on the Aquarium's second floor by the 4D theater and is included in general admission.
