“Back Porch Stories” will be held at the Ansonia Theatre, 110 S. Rutherford St., Wadesboro, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The FREE PROGRAM will feature storyteller Gary Carden recounting Appalachian and Cherokee folktales. Carden will be followed by Cynthia Moore Brown telling ghost stories of the Piedmont; Ramona Big Eagle bringing American Indian stories; and Dorothy Morrison sharing stories of a Southern family. The program is sponsored by the Anson County Writers’ Club, South Piedmont Community College and the Hampton B. Allen Library with special assistance from the Anson County Arts Council. "Back Porch Stories" kicks off the fourth annual Carolinas Writers Conference on April 14 at SPCC’s Lockhart-Taylor Center in Wadesboro.
