Race to Anyplace: Spin-bike relay race

Description

WHO:
Race To Anyplace is open to all community members, friends and family over the age of 18 (unless accompanied by a legal guardian) who are in good physical condition to participate in at least 10 minutes of stationary cycling.

WHAT:
Race To Anyplace is a stationary cycling competition and fundraising event benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Teams of 3-6 members each will ride stationary bicycles for a total of 3 hours, with each member riding in 10-minute heats.

WHERE:
The event will take place at Spynergy, 386 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA.

WHEN:
Saturday, February 25, 2012. Registration begins at 10:30 AM. The races begin at 11:00 AM SHARP.

WHY:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services with a mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million in research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Events like Race To Anyplace help to fund LLS's research initiatives, patient services and education programs. We are extremely grateful to our many generous donors, participants and sponsors who make progress possible.

HOW:
Sign up to be a Team Captain then recruit 3-6 riders for your team. Each Team Captain will have access to the team's fundraising webpage and be able to add or remove members from the roster as needed. All participants are required to pay a $25 registration fee and each team is expected to meet a minimum donation level of $600.
