Hayes Presidential Center Head of Photographic Resources Gilbert Gonzalez leads this class focused on vintage family photographs. Gonzalez, who is a professional photographer and student of photographic history, provides attendees with hands-on experience in identifying 19th- and 20th-century photographs. He describes the various photographic processes used in early photography, as well as how print, negative, and slide images were created. Topics related to photo preservation and scanning also are part of the class. Pre-registration required. Cost is $10/adults and $5/students through high school. Sponsored by RootsMagic, Inc.
