Cape Cod Community Angels Meeting

Description
Cape Cod Community Angels is a new group for young girls in grades 2 – 5. The main purpose of the Cape Cod Community Angels is to help the local communities by volunteering their time to help out in any way they can throughout Cape Cod.
Some specific ways the Angels will contribute to the community is by working together to raise money for special needs, and volunteer in special projects within the communities around Cape Cod. The benefit for the Angels is discovering the joy of serving others and the sense of accomplishment that comes along with helping other people they may not normally come in contact with in their daily lives.
The Angels will meet once a week on Fridays from 4 – 5:30 pm. During these meetings, there will be activities such as arts and crafts, games as well as cooking and putting together their own recipe book to share with their family.
There will also be time set aside for discussion and brainstorming ideas for different ways to reach out and help others.
Another recurring activity will be for the Angels to become affiliated with a local nursing home with the idea of visiting the elderly and starting an ‘Adopt a Grandparent’ group and will visit with them once a month in place of the usual meeting time.
It is our sincere hope that the Cape Cod Community Angels will be recognized for their contributions and the support they provide within the communities. Along with building people skills and learning what it takes to work as a team, they will make lasting friendships and learn the true meaning of honesty, selflessness, consideration, respect, and responsibility to themselves and others that will carry them into the future to make the world a better place.
