John Richards is a Nashville, Tenn. born-and-raised legendary jazz and blues artist who began his career playing as a teen on the famed Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree. He has backed many legends, including Tanya Tucker and Barbara Mandrell and was recently named the Marion James Blues Society's Guitar Player of the Year for 2012. His work has been featured on NPR, and on the PBS series, Jazz. John is at home in multiple musical genres, including country, pop, rock, blues and his true love, jazz, for which he is known worldwide. He has been compared to Django Reinhart, George Benson, Lenny Breau and Chet Atkins.
