Sunday Spotlight with Scissormen

Sunday Spotlight with Scissormen, no cover; Sunday Night Spotlights feature great bands and up and coming songwriters. They might not have a lot of hits yet, but you will see a great show. This show lasts until 7:30. You may keep your seats for the Writers Night that follows. Seats are first come, first served. Scissormen transform the blues of Mississippi’s swamps and juke joints into a sound that is both deeply rooted and contemporary, a blend that’s taken the band across the US and Europe playing everywhere from coffeehouses to major festivals including Bonnaroo and France’s Cognac Blues Passions. The band is led by songwriter, guitarist and award-winning music historian Ted Drozdowski. This show will focus on songs in preproduction for the band’s upcoming album and stories drawn from Ted’s travels in Mississippi’s Delta and hill country.
