Bruce Dobie
CEO

Bruce has spent a lifetime in print and digital media. From 1983 to 1989 he was a political reporter for the now defunct Nashville Banner. In 1989, he and a business partner started the weekly Nashville Scene, which was later sold to Village Voice Media. In 2008 he founded eviesays.com, where he is now president and CEO. Bruce is a graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee and the the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York. He serves on the boards of Nashville Bank & Trust and the Heritage Conservation Trust Fund. He has long been active in organizations having to do with public education and land preservation.

Ben Gray
Graycroft Ventures

Ben is the principal in GrayCroft Properties, a family investment partnership, and has been active in the private equity and venture capital business in Nashville. Gray’s career in finance began in 1973 as an officer in the corporate banking division of Chemical Bank, New York. In 1987 he joined Massey Burch Investment Group in Nashville as a partner where he was active in the firm’s venture capital activities in the Southeast. He left Massey Burch in 1999 and headed up the southeastern marketing efforts for TBG Financial, a California based executive benefits consulting firm, until 2006 when he resumed his private equity investing interests. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia (1973) and the Harvard Business School’s Executive Program (1982) sponsored by Chemical Bank.

Don McLemore
Claritas Capital

Don is a Managing Partner of Claritas Capital with over twenty-five years of experience in venture capital. Currently, Don represents Claritas Capital on the boards of HCCA International, Inc., Physicians Capital, Inc., and, Dobie Media. He serves as a visitor to the board of directors of Cybera, Inc. In addition, Don served on the board of iPayment from its initial public offering in 2003 to its going-private transaction in 2006.

Rick’s experience in both print and digital media is extensive. He has been CEO of Examiner.com as well as CEO of Clarity Digital Group, which oversees both Examiner.com and NowPublic, the largest participatory news network in the world. Rick has also served as a consultant for The Anschutz Corporation and vice president for America Online's former local initiative, Digital City. He currently serves as an advisor to Happenings Media, a growing network of digital lifestyle magazines, and Street Fight, a media, events, and research company focused on the business of hyperlocal content, commerce, and technology.

Forrest Shoaf

Most recently, Forrest enjoyed a seven-year tenure with Lebanon, TN-based Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, serving as general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president, ultimately retiring from the company as chief financial officer. Prior to Cracker Barrel, Shoaf was a partner at Bass Berry & Sims, managing director of investment banking at Avondale Partners, and managing director of the J.C. Bradford corporate banking division and the Memphis-based Morgan Keegan (now part of Raymond James).

David Mason

David started his first company at the age of 22 and now sits at the helm of StudioNow, a streamlined platform that produces and distributes videos for business with a goal of engaging consumers and building brands. David launched StudioNow in 2007 with partner Adam Solesby and sold the company to AOL in January 2010. David remains CEO of StudioNow.
